spring

Today was a glimpse of spring. The air was fresh and the birds were chirping. I learned about St. Patrick's Day in school. In Britain a 6 year old boy was kidnapped and was forced to work in Ireland. At age 16 he was able to escape and he had a vision about going back to Ireland to help the Irish people. He followed his vision and became a priest to try to conform the country to Christianity. He changed his name to the Christian name Patrick and used the shamrock to teach the trinity. St. Patrick's Day is one of the most celebrated religious holidays. I had no idea this holiday had so much meaning. It's funny how knowing a little bit of information can make you appreciate something so much more.

He who pursues righteousness and love finds life, prosperity and honor. Proverbs 21:21

I keep a wad of toilet paper under my bed in case I get the unexpected bloody nose but I ended up using it, not for the later but for tears. My parents came in and told me that we're taking Daisy to the vet tomorrow to see if we need to put her down. Her lungs are so full of fluid she can barely breathe. It's so hard to look at her knowing she's in pain. It's not fair to let her go on like this. My dad keeps saying how much he wishes she would just give up. Gosh, I love that dog. I'm going to miss her so much.

There is no wisdom, no insight, no pain that can succeed against the Lord. Proverbs 21:30

Totally know what you mean. I did a paper on St. Patty's this year in Rich Wards speech class. I even brought my green snuggie for the presentation. haha
